Defina Zagarzazú and Innodriven

Delfina has many years’ experience leading entrepreneurial and organisational inspiration as a stepping stone for business for good.  She was named by the Inter-American Development Bank one of the 10 Youth Leaders for the Americas.  She designs and manages inclusive projects which build in a competitive advantage through their resource effectiveness (circular economy) and human-centred design, with a focus on "bottom of pyramid" inclusion and empowerment. 

She has shared her vision for business as a force for good with the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, International Development Banks, South American Government Institutions, Universities, large corporations and changemaking entrepreneurs. 

She is an 'ecosystem entrepreneur', organising local and global events to bring inspiration for good innovation, including Co-Founder of the World Economic Forum's Global Shaper Community in Uruguay, Co-Organizer TEDx Punta del Este, and Co-Organizer of the First Circular Economy Forum in Latin America, FEC Uruguay. 

She has been invited to speak on these topics at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Scotland's Start-up Summit and Inter-American Development Bank Governors Meeting amongst others.

Working as a Lacerta Associate, Delfina brings collaborative and purpose-led processes for conversation, development and change.

She is founding partner of young creative consulting firm using human-centered approach for innovative business models consulting for companies and government on identifying their barriers to sustainable development, aligning their strategy and visions and engaging their team on forward-thinking initiatives to build resilient business models to climate change, and global challenges affecting business.   Clients include US Department of State Fellowship Exchanges, United Nations, AVINA Foundation, MNCs and start-up/incubators.

She is also co-founder of the Global Shapers Community is an Initiative of the World Economic Forum. This is a network of hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.  She co-founded the first Hub in Uruguay in 2011, establishing the Global Shapers Montevideo Hub. 

In 2013 she was selected by the WEF to represent the Hub at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, with participation in panels and closed meetings around the issues for Environmental Economics, Sustainable Strategies and Disruptive Ideas behind new business models. Private meetings with CEOs including Muhtar Kent as well as intellectuals as incredible as Daniel Kahneman were personal highlights of the meeting.

Delfina has worked with Lacerta on a number of projects including the ground-breaking BIMA RUN empowering women programme.

Delfina met the Lacerta team while completing her MBA from University of Exeter where she contributed to purpose-driven initiatives including B-Corp Evenings and innovation workshops.  She works to develop and support innovation, community projects and B-Corps around the world through her Uruguay-based Consultancy, Innodriven.com.

Currently based in Scotland, but about to move to Spain.
